Phuket

Day 1: Getting there

We grabbed a flight from Don Mueang in Bangkok to Phuket in Southern Thailand taking around an hour followed by a forty minute van trip courtesy of our Hotel provider Andamantra Resort around 250 meters from Patong Beach.

Pretty in Pink

We flew Nok Air both ways with on time departures and arrivals and great service.

Sweet Suite

Our suite at the Andamantra Resort where we were well looked after by the staff and management.

Balcony Spa

Romantic sunset spa on your own private balcony --doesn't get any better than this.

Day 2: Private tour

Our tour guide Woot collected us after breakfast for our own private chauffeur driven tour of Phuket including temple's, shopping and some awesome plane spotting.

Chalong Temple

Built around 1837 and surrounded by picturesque gardens, this is a must see temple in Phuket

Look honey... shops

After lunching at Shabu Indy it was on to a spot of city sightseeing and shopping.

Nok Air on finals

Nok Air DD7512 on finals over Vow Point Beach, Phuket, Thailand.

View from Cape Phrompthep, Phuket, Thailand.

Day 3: Sail, Snorkel and Sunset Cruise

This was our main event on this trip, organised by my cruise-director wife. After a quick coffee and shower we were ready for our pick-up at the resort at 7:00am. On the water from Chalong Pier by 9:30am we headed for around an hour's cruise to Koh Racha where we had a wedgie burger (that's the one you wedge in between breakfast and lunch--when you didn't have breakfast to begin with). Then it was back on the boat for a quick snorkel and lunch including gai tort (fried chicken), a cauliflower casserole for the vegetarians and Khor king gai (dry mince chicken curry) and steamed jasmine rice--aloi. Then it was off to our next stop of the day Koh Hey for around an hour and then back on the boat for some fishing and sunset. Awesome day out!

Sailing Aqua Man

We commenced our day-trip aboard the Aquaman, an Ocean Voyager 78 Day Charter Catamaran.

Happy wife, Happy life.

The combination of a 40 foot beam and 2 seasick tablets and my wife was smiling for the first time aboard a boat.

Swimming at Koh Hey

Swimming at Banana Beach, Koh Hey, Phuket, Thailand.

Koh Hey Heaven

I think the most beautiful beach we've been to in Thailand.

Koh Racha Yai

After a few hours at Koh Racha Yai it was back to Aquaman for a spot of snorkelling and lunch.

Koh Racha Yai

We'll be back, perhaps even to stay at The Racha Resort which looks luxurious.

Sunset at Koh Hey

As we eased our way around the point at Koh Hey my wife was in the prefect sport for a sunset photo.

Day 4: Last day in Phuket

Patong Beach Stroll

Short stroll from Andamantra Resort to the Sea Salt Restaurant for lunch.

Lunch at Sea Salt

No visit to Patong is complete without lunch at the Sea Salt Bar & Grill

Thank you Phuket for a wonderful experience ...until next time...
