Gospel Koan 90.1
Two Testaments
Koan 90.1
The salvation: 'process of having safety' of existence is a harmony of two testaments: atonement and forgiveness.
Summary Exposition
The central mechanism is the synergistic interplay between atonement (action towards unity) and forgiveness (the action of giving away to difference). This creates salvation, defined as a state of ontological safety. A potent example is a deep betrayal between partners, resolved not by ignoring the breach nor by holding the grudge, but by the betrayer's sustained, trustworthy actions (atonement) being met by the betrayed's gradual release of the right to retribution (forgiveness). The implication is that reality’s fundamental security is not a static condition but a dynamic equilibrium achieved only through the balanced application of these two complementary, action-based forces.
