Gospel Koan 40.4
God Realizes All
Koan 40.4
God as Principal is omniscient: 'caused to know everything' in the sense that the expression that is God manifests all realizing.
Summary Exposition
The central mechanism redefines omniscience not as a faculty of intellect, but as the constitutive act of the conference of difference. In the construct of Creator, God expresses all that is real; this act of manifestation is itself the only perfect 'knowing'. A single, potent example is the way a complex system, like an ecosystem, realizes i.e. 'knows' itself through the total set of relational interactions between its parts; there is no separate mind, only the unfolding expression of the system itself. The fundamental implication is that all consciousness—as a 'measure of knowing together'—is a localized expression of this foundational, constitutive omniscience. Divine knowing and created consciousness are not different in kind, but are the same relational process operating at universal and particular scales.[1]

The universe 'knows together' all its parts in a single, constitutive act; a mind 'knows together' a subset of relations from a particular locus within the whole. ↩︎
